Our Story
Our official history goes back to 2014 when the first Cru movement in recent history was established at Virginia Commonwealth University, but for years prior, men and women have been praying for this city and for Cru to be launched here. They were so passionate about seeing the eight different campuses in the Richmond Metro area reached for Jesus and in God’s timing, he has begun to answer those prayers and establish them.
Starting at VCU and then expanding beyond to other schools and movements in the area, we are continually looking for opportunities to follow God and see what He will do as He brings men and women into a relationship with Himself. We are confident that as students and faculty are reached and eternally impacted, the surrounding areas of the city and the world will be forever changed through the Cru movements in Richmond.
